• Notes: Costa Rican Academia has set as a goal to create cyber-infrastructure and international liaisons that allow the development of projects aimed at local and regional needs. This implies the following aspects:

• • leveraging scientific expertise by means of computational sciences, creating a showcase for fostering progressive update of research methodologies and university curricula
  • deployment of computing capabilities for creating a local testbed connected via the national Internet2 high speed research network
  • international collaborations based upon academic exchange and common research interests
